I am where He wants me to be

The idea of letting go and just accepting whatever comes our way is something most struggle with. We are creatures of control. Even if someone says they can “go with the flow,” nine times out of ten they will still try to obtain control on some level. Whether it’s being the driver, or the one who is paying, or even the one who is the figuratively center of your universe, there is usually an exception.

However, there are still some that just roll with the punches and take life day by day, hour by hour.

It’s okay to envy people with the “if it happens, it happens,” kind of attitude. Those people also have something they envy about others and so on. It’s a never ending cycle. But even once the never ending cycle is brought to light, we, humans, forget that everyone has imperfections and strengths and weaknesses. We also forget that no one has the same background and story.

However, envy and jealousy ask us to love ourselves first.

While you are comparing yourself to someone else, your mind is questioning your worth and that other person’s. Even the thoughts that register as anger in our minds, but are driven by jealousy, take a hold on us and hang.

In order to “let go,” we have to give up the jealousy and relinquish control. The control that you want over your life differs from person. The “go with the flow,” person might only have that attitude because they have tried every possible way and are now feeling “defeated.” Defeated can be thought of as a negative way of saying you “lost control,” or “giving up,” on the situation. But when God says “let go,” he means that he wants you to relax and let Him do the work.

When you let go and let God decide, the envy and jealousy is reduced. Try to accept and not stress.
